Tricky question. I personally think that if you play snooker, pool or billiards the best cue is the one that suits you best. Steven Hendry was given a cue when he was either 12 or 14 and he won the world championship like, 5 times in a row using that same cue. Sadly, a couple of years ago he had to buy a new one because he went to play in Japan and his cue got broken by some clumsy baggage handling on the plane!

The one that Hendry used was actually warped/bent, but he liked to use it!!! Riley make good cues from cheap to expensive, but you can have one piece ones custom built from wood, graphite or a plastic type material. Depends on what you want. I have two cues, one expensive, other is more of a pool cue with thicker bezel and tip. It's a lot heavier but i actually do play better with it.

Depending how serious you are, buy from a credible company or have your cue custom made. I like working with wood and make my own.

Depending on your level of expertise, you might be better off having cues custom made.
