I'm considering building a pool table so I have one, and because I want a project to do (my friend and I play a lot. Would be nice to have one). I don't know much about them, still kind of looking into it, but instead of using slate (because it's heavy and I would need to move it. Apartment's not very big) I've seen to use either high density plastic or something like a honeycomb MDF sheet. But I was wondering what would happen if I used some sheetrock or something? I know it gets damaged pretty easily, but it's cheap to replace and I don't have to tile it. I can just use one sheet. Anyone ever tried that or know what happens?
